There’s something weird from Japanese cuisine and this is totally extreme. This time we talk about odori-dori. However, the food is actually served at the Ikkai Tabiji restaurant in Hokkaido, Japan.

'Odori-don' or 'bowl of rice with squid dancing' is a Japanese dish that presents live squid that had been beheaded and placed on a bowl of sushi rice with chunks or thin slices of a severed head.

Initially, the head of the squid is seen not moving, but if the typical Japanese soy sauce seasoning poured on it, then the squid will be moving like he was 'dancing'. Please enjoy the video below.

After "the dance performance" shown by squid, and then it lifted from the bowl and cut into smaller sizes for later restated by the chef. It looks torturing animals, but this is really happen in Japan and it served to the customer as squid lovers. The world is filled with unique and crazy things, including this one. Hopefully it will enrich the world culinary travel. You can try this during your trip in Japan or just see this performance from the bowl.
