Blue Neon Waves on the California Beach - The World in Your Hand

Blue Neon Waves on the California Beach

It’s like the ending of science fiction movie where the silhouette of a man staring at the luminous sea, with a boy on his shoulders. But this wasn’t movie's trick or computer trick with photo software like Photoshop. From the pictures below we can see how the beach looks so amazing caused by the illumination light. Blue neon is a beautiful color created by nature.

Because this incident is a natural phenomenon caused by a chemical reaction called bioluminescence, which occurs naturally when the micro-organisms in the water disturbed, and then causes a chemical reaction that emits light. This is weird phenomenon and not all of us have a chance to see this in person. That’s why the picture was became special snapshot.

This spectacular view captured at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas, California. Light at night is a side effect of the development of red algae, which can change the entire coast to red and cloudy in the afternoon.(Source: Dailymail)
