Healthy and Happy Living with Apple
An old proverb says that "an apple a day keeps the doctor away". Apparently the benefits of apples are consumed every day give us great impact, especially for health. A recent study says that it can also improve your mental state.
Have you ever heard that apple can change your mood? You'll be happier after that. A team from the department of psychology of the University of Otago in New Zealand asked 281 people as volunteers in their research. The volunteers were asked to record their diet program for 21 days, it's like a diary.
A great result comes at the end of the study, volunteers were recorded consuming more fruits and vegetables, including apples. They reported have differences in their mood. They feel more calm, happy and energetic. Meanwhile, volunteers who consumed junk food reported no changes in their mood.
Reported by Dailymail, Dr. Tamlin Conner as the head of research, said that "On the days when people eat more fruits and vegetables, they reported feeling calmer, happier, and more energetic than usual."
Upon further analysis, the study also found portions ideal for fruit and vegetable consumption is about 7-8 servings per day. Positive mood it will feel the next day after eating the fruits and vegetables.
Dr. Conner added, this study shows the close relationship between the consumption of healthy food with a good mood. Although he also recognizes that he need further research to find a good correlation between consumption of fruits and vegetables with mood transformation.
